103 Main started with a simple observation. After years running the Machias River Inn, the owners knew exactly what guests were looking for when they came through — a place to grab something to remember the trip by, pick up a gift for someone back home, or just treat themselves after a long day on the Bold Coast. There wasn't a place like that in town. So they built one.

Today 103 Main is a full gift shop with a carefully chosen selection that reflects the region. Maine clothing, an extensive candy section, homemade fudge, and Slush Puppies that have become a local favorite. The friendly faces behind the counter have turned first-time visitors into regulars — people who come back for the pjs, the fudge, and the feeling of a shop that actually cares about what it carries.
